London is abuzz with the recent flagship opening of Maison Assouline in the heart of Piccadilly. The historic building has been transformed into a grande dame of a library & cocktail bar complete with curios from around the world.
Here on a chilly February evening renowned French chef, Joël Robuchon, and his rather more scientific partner in the kitchen, acupuncturist & neuropharmacologist Dr Nadia Volf, were in town for the signing of their cookbook, Food & Life.
As reported by the New York Times, “It’s not just health (and skinniness) we’re after from our diets — it’s happiness. Can a recipe feed the soul while also tasting delicious?” Joël and Nadia certainly seem to think so and who’s to argue with the world’s most awarded Michelin-starred chef?
